Why should we serve?

We don’t serve because we feel guilty that others do and we don’t. The main reason we serve is because that’s what Jesus has done for us. He told us that He came not to be served but to serve others, especially in giving up His life for us (Matthew 20:28). As a response to the Gospel, we should “serve one another through love” (Galatians 5:13). When we serve, we grow in godliness, form community with others, and see lives transformed by the Gospel.
